Discover new products is what gets me excited. To be able to sit down with a big cup of Joe and really put my thoughts onto paper — or phone so to speak. Being Autistic has its positives and negatives. The positives: everything I’m deeply passionate about gets my 110% effort and commitment, no matter what circumstance. The negatives: I fixate and tend to forget on the important things. I’m also an over-thinker, pondering whether my work is good enough to publish.
The saying goes ‘You Do You”, focus on what you do best and continue. If you feel you need to take a step back, a little breather, then do that and carry on smashing those positives!
I enjoy writing, learning about the brand being reviewed and connecting with each and every product, just like WarPaint for Men. Creating by Danny with good attentions, a man after my own heart. Suffering from Body Dysmorphic Disorder wasn’t easy for this young entrepreneur. As a young child, at the age of 11, Danny dealt with daily bullying, teasing and nickname calling, something that many of us, including myself can relate with.
Makeup became Danny’s best friend, a friendly shadow that gave this boy an invisible shield for his confidence, self-esteem and BDD. Danny had a “lightbulb moment” and curated WarPaint with good intentions to help other men dealing with similar issues. Daniel was eager to spread the word by encouraging others that creating War Paint wasn’t to just cover up those imperfections but to support and help men all over the globe.
Starting with the long-wearing concealer — and it really does stay put! I know a good concealer when I see one, this travel-friendly, masculine feel potion-like jar contains your future best friend, for life. One of the key selling points is that it contains tea tree oil, an ingredient renowned for its antibacterial properties which is why Daniel added this favourable ingredient into the blend. The concealer itself blends beautifully without having to hardly make any effort what so effort, after all, that’s what we’re wanting, right? Bam! Easy makeup application. Purchased your very own pot here.
Foundation can be a scary word for males but fear not, WarPaint has you covered, and quite literally. What’s unique about this product is that it feels nothing like your bog-standard foundation you would find amongst the overcrowded field in your local high street stores. It offers a fresh vibe, a welcoming appearance, a “spotlight moment” so to say. It‘s dreamy, lightweight feel ensures the modern man that his skin won’t feel or look “caked” in makeup — that’s the difference with WarPaint products. For all-day coverage that last, discover here.
If you’re new to male makeup then this product I’m about to discuss is your “safety blanket” for first-time users. The WarPaint Tinted Moisturizer offers light coverage whilst correctly uneven skin tone on a minor level. I like it, but don’t love it, yet. For me, applying the product on my t-zone, the area where I tend to develop more redness felt somewhat more suited than applying it all over the face. If you’re wanting extra coverage to conceal a pesky spot or two, consider applying the concealer on top for maximum coverage.
Side note: this is a sample feature in partnership with WarPaint. All opinions, experiences and words my own. This post may contain affiliate links.
