gifted No7 products in support of this review
The ever-famous No7, the high-tech, wallet friendly brand brought to you by Boots has finally landed on the Mister Wharff! Continue reading as I express my thoughts and feelings on three exceptional products from No7 that may end up inside your bathroom cabinet.
Being a contents creator isn’t easy, it requires dedication, commitment, and an excitingly endless amount of gifting from brands. But let’s not forget the bottomless coffees that soon become your new BBF (coffee lovers like myself will understand the need for a re-fuel of caffeine whilst creating content). I’ll be 29 this year in June (mark it on your calendars) and although my skin is most possibly the best it’s been for a long-time, I can’t help but notice the unwelcome army of skin concerns. The ‘entry-level’ fine line or two across my forehead, and the troublesome dryness that I occasionally get depending on my health. Don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t bother me, but working in the skincare sector, I should be “armed and ready” to attack those skin enemies at full force.
This is where No7 innovation skin pastes come into play: densely-textured but easily spreadable, these two pastes are quite literally a match made in heaven, together.
Let’s begin with the No7 Laboratories CICA RESCUE Skin Paste that could benefit you from a multitude of troubling skin sins. With a trio of minerals combined; Magnesium PCA, Zinc PCA and Manganese PCA to repair, comfort and restore damaged skin. No word of a lie, as soon as I applied the product, skin instantly felt soothed and less troubled. The trilogy complex! Rich in saccharides that naturally hydrates and replenishes the skin, we have Ophiopogon japonicus root extract, or in other words and known as “snake beard”. Centella and Bisabolol are also added into the cauldron to deeply moisturise and smooth discomforting skin.
Take charge, be the boss! Apply as a quick skin pick-me-up before a special event, slather on as an overnight restorative facial mask, or use to target specific key areas for problematic skin. Each product comes with a silicone brush for easy application. Buy your very own tube of skin rescue here
The No7 Laboratories Resurfacing Skin Paste contains a curated 10.5% blend of Glycolic, Glucano-delta-lactone & Fruit Acids to provide a thorough but gentle exfoliation without disrupting the skin’s microbiome. More of a gel-paste, it’s eye-catching, sunbeam coloured consistency isn’t for the ‘plain janes’ of skincare. Upon application, a light, tingling sensation may occur from the product due to the exfoliating agents. For me, I felt absolutely nothing, but this doesn’t mean it’s not doing its jobsworth. Liquorice extract is included to correct pigmentation and skin sensitivity. There’s also the delights of sugarcane and maple extract to increase skin radiance.
Apply onto clean, lightly dampened skin for maximum penetration and leave on for as long as possible, ideally 15-20 minutes. Then, simply removed with fresh, tepid water to uncover a ‘fresh-as-a-daisy’ like complexion. The No7 Laboratories Resurfacing Skin Paste is available here
The No7 Protect & Perfect ADVANCED all in one foundation became a match made in heaven for already No7 lovers. A product that not only provided a multitude of skin benefits but also offered an excellent dose of SPF50 and colour within one single application. Now that’s what I call revolutionary makeup!
Did you know that the No7 Protect & Perfect ADVANCED all in one foundation uses the exact same technology and ingredients as their iconic Protect & Protect Intense ADVANCED Serum?
Firstly, we have the almighty Matrixyl Plus 3000 that repairs and restores the appearance to a more youthful state with a little help in hand from skin-smoothing Vitamin A. Ginseng and Mulberry Leaf Extract provides antioxidant protection.
Us health-conscious King and Queens know how important it is to take our daily Vitamin C + E, so why not apply the popular duo onto the skin? Well, this ‘skincare hybrid’ foundation contains these two essential vitamins to brighten and correct uneven skin tone.
I was sent 2 shades from No7, cool beige and warm ivory, cool beige was too dark for my skin tone but perfectly suited for my ‘makeup shy’ Mother. She was quite happy to put the product to the test. Here’s what Mum had to say about the foundation after trial for a whole month:
How did you find the texture and feel of the formula?
“It felt nice and lightweight on the skin, the product itself is quite runny but that didn’t bother me.“
What about the coverage, Mum?
“The coverage is nice and light and you can apply the second layer without it looking too much. It’s ideal for when I’m going out to see friends or family. It did leave my skin with a lovely glow!”
In contains SPF 50, did you notice a difference in how it blended onto the skin?
“I didn’t even know it contained sun protection, you know what I’m like John *giggles*. To be honest with you, I didn’t notice any difference which I suppose is a good sign, right?” Sure is Mum!.
Finally, and sorry to be rude Mum, did you notice a decrease in fine lines and wrinkles?
“My skin does look smoother and soft-to-touch, wrinkles do appear less apparent. So yes, it does perform at some degree, but I wouldn’t call it ‘magic in a tube’.

I’ve not tried anything from No7 in such a while. When I first started out using skincare it was a No7 range I used.
