Wake Up To Soft Skin Like Never Before: GLAMGLOW Passionfruit Softening Night Treatment

We’re forever searching for a product to provide us with super soft skin, you know, a product that ticks all the boxes and not just one. Well, I may have found your answer!

As we’re all aware, our skin works at its best while we sleep, cells regenerate and the important healing process begins as we silently drift away in our favorite place, bed.

Our parents didn’t tell us to have an early night for no reason, sleeping for a recommended 8 hours a night is somewhat a struggle for most of us. Due to the modern busy lifestyle, learning to unwind allows our mind and organs to take a well-deserved backseat that can provide a positive effect on how the skin appears and feels.

When it comes to a nighttime ritual, I tend to not overload my skin with dozens of lotions and potions but in favor of sticking to one or two items that provides the skin with a direct, targeted treatment. Knowing that by using the appropriate evening skin treats, upon waking up the next morning, my skin is looking well-rested and ready to face the world with radiance.

GlamGlow never fails to entice me with their latest product releases, there’s always an element of excitement within this “hello sexy” brand. The eye-catching, colourful packaging and clever wording is what makes GLAMGLOW successful till this day and age.

It comes at no surprise that many of us believe that opposites attract, relationships are built on love and trusting each other. Having things in common is always a big plus when dating your “possible” future partner in crime, but liking the same cuisine or film genre shouldn’t determine on your decision.

GOOD IN BED™ Passionfruit Softening Night Cream works in a similar way, an interesting  launch from the mighty people at GLAMGLOW. Powered by cationic technology, in other words, a positively charged formula that attracts the negatively charged surface. You’re probably thinking “why is it positively charged?”, I hear you, at first it made me wonder, we use millions of skincare products everyday so what makes a positively charged formula different? To explain this as easy as possible, our skin is naturally negatively charged, so when a positively charged formulation hits the surface it “sets the seal on” for maximum efficiency and overall penetration.

Let’s begin with the formula, and one that’s going to put a big smile on those “skin acid fans” in the world of beauty. Glycolic, Lactic and Tartaric acids work in synergy by removing the very top layer of dead skin, increasing the speed of cell turnover to provide a brighter, fresher skin complexion. Salicylic Acid, a personal favourite ingredient acts on surface imperfections and blocked pores. This beta hydroxy acid also works by penetrating deep into the skin, exfoliating — inside the pore — targeting the main problem area.

For nighttime hydration, GLAMGLOW added sodium hyaluronate and squalane. Shea Butter and avocado oils nourishes whilst accelerating skin healing thanks to the naturally rich fatty acids. Last but not least is passionfruit extract that contains a good amount of skin beneficial Vitamin A and Vitamin C. This egg-shaped fruit also acts as a sedative, helping to induce sleep. Whether or not applying a cream has the same effect is another story.

Apart from the outstanding combination of active ingredients that GLAMGLOW has spoiled us with, I’d like to share with you my thoughts on the actual cream itself, and one that needs a little explanation. This isn’t your typical GLAMGLOW cream that as you open the jar for the very first time, your nose buds are instantly hit with a mighty whiff of sexy fragrance, yes Waterburst Moisturiser, I’m talking about you. This eye-catching Passionfruit Softening Night Cream is far from fragrance-proud, there is a slight, delicate passionfruit-y scent that smells rather delightful upon contact, a fragrance that doesn’t plan sticking around for long.

The texture came at a big surprise for me too,  and something I wasn’t expecting at all. It’s  bright yellow, dense consistency felt true luxury as I dipped my cleansed fingers into the jar. You really don’t need an awful amount of product to cover the entire face, your fingers will pick up a generous amount, and perhaps a little too much due to the products thickset texture. If you’re light or heavy-handed, either way, you’re going to grab a little more product than originally expected.

Did I wake up with crazy soft skin? Well, yes, my skin appeared uniformed and incredibly soft to the touch. If we’re taking personal taste, I would have preferred the cream to not be as heavy in consistency, but this hasn’t stopped me from applying this luscious cream on a blissful evening.

Lazy skincare is the best. I love products that get to work while you sleep! I’ve only ever tried their Youth Mud mask but I absolutely loved it.

Hate the name but it sounds like a great product. I’d be tempted to buy if it didn’t contain shea butter xx
