Don’t you feel the pain, too? Manual is here to help

If you have hair similar to mine, you will feel that exact annoyance and pain of dealing with thinning hair, hair that’s slowly receding away one strand at a time. I’m forever switching up shampoos and conditioner treatments in hope of achieving thicker, volumized hair with every wash. Until now, I haven’t found a single product that has managed to transform my ’almost bald on-the-top’ hair. Who am I kidding right? Not one single shampoo out there has the ability to completely regrow a bed of healthy-looking hair.

There is a couple of options to potentially treat thinning hair, and that’s by using the correct ingredients within a well-formulated product that isn’t going to strip the natural hair oils that keeps our hair in tip-top condition. We also say a big no no to ingredients such as harsh detergents that play havoc with our scalp causing possible skin irritation. Dermatitis sufferers like myself will understand how hard it is to find a shampoo that won’t cause a flare-up of sensitivity. Medicated shampoos containing coal tar, Ketoconazole and zinc sulfate work a treat on controlling troublesome scalps but quite often I’ve found they have left my hair weak and brittle-looking.

Manual.co, an online male destination that challenges the small problems us men have to face on a daily basis. This exciting wellness brand offers ’tricks of the trade’ tools curated and prescribed just for you. I’m thrilled to be able to share with you my honest thoughts on 3 of the products from the Manual grooming brand.

To start of this review is the mighty powerful shampoo that uses a combination of natural low-foaming agents from coconut and fruit sugars to gently cleanse the hair and scalp. This ‘body-building’ shampoo contains an ingredient that normally you can only take in tablet-form, but somehow, the people at Manual have managed to create a formulation with this proven hair-loss ingredient. We’re talking about saw palmetto, a berry that has the ability to potentially block an enzyme responsible for male hair loss. Coffee lovers will appreciate the use of caffeine inside this power shampoo as it awakes dormant hair follicles to encourage new hair growth. Biotin plays a big role to thicken limp, lifeless hair.

So there you have it, the three key ingredients within the Manual power shampoo, I bet you haven’t seen this hair growing trio inside a product before, am I right? Zinc, magnesium and niacinamide work in synergy to soothe and treat present dandruff on the scalp.

A Shampoo Like No Other!

Using the product for the very first time was somewhat exhilarating, knowing that I was about to apply a shampoo with actual hair benefits got me feeling all excited, and I don’t usually look forward to applying a shampoo so that’s saying something. With a higher price tag compared to your usual everyday shampoo, you would expect a noticeable result, which I did. As this is a targeted treatment shampoo, I spent a little more time massaging the product into the hair and scalp, focusing on really working the product all over especially on the top where I’m slowly going bald. I left the shampoo on for a good 3-5 minutes to allow the active ingredients to work as they penetrate to energise my lazy hair follicles. Dare I say, I did notice an improvement in thickness as I began washing out the shampoo, my hair didn’t feel as limp or lifeless, for once, I was able to feel and see the difference. Best of yet, it didn’t leave my hair feeling clogged with silicones that can weigh hair down.

The Ultimate Power Couple From Manual

With the release of their mighty power shampoo, Manual also created a serum and moisturiser, both created with the effects of everyday living in mind, these two products combined together protect, hydrate and combat ageing skin.

Starting with the wrinkle warrior, a beautifully well-formulated texture that gave my skin an instant boost of life. It’s rich, but never greasy texture applied like a dream onto the skin that absorbed within a blink of an eye.  There’s also a stable-form vitamin c that not only offers an awakening glow but also protects the skin against UV and pollution damage. Coenzyme Q10, an antioxidant that works by effectively reducing the appearance of pesky fine lines and wrinkles. That’s not it, this modern, hip male brand also added a series of peptides and hyaluronic acid to replenish, plump and firm the skins appearance.

For me, this works perfectly on it’s own as it provides the correct dose of hydration and comfort for my skin. If you’re more on the drier side then you might want to look into the next product that I’m about to discuss from Manual.

Mr. Moisturiser, quite the masculine name don’t you agree? This daily cream is armed and ready to provide all day hydration thanks to the skin-quenching molecule, that is hyaluronic acid. This next ingredient I’m about to discuss is often overlooked by its proceeders which is a real shame as Allantoin offers so many skin benefits. Allantoin supports the skin to retain water which provides a softer, smoother skin feel, and visibly. There’s also urea that loosens dried visible skin.

Mr. Moisturiser absorbs rapidly into the skin leaving no tacky residue on the surface. If I’m feeling experimental (which is 99% of the time) I like to add a pump of wrinkle warrior, mix and apply over the face for an instant hydrated glow fix. If you’re a little short for time, give this technique whirl, I highly recommend it.
