Jack Black: Two Must-Have Skin Saviours For The Well-Groomed Man

sample collaboration with Jack Black Skincare

The male grooming industry is forever expanding. Since beginning my blog in 2014, I’ve had the pleasure and opportunity to discover a vast selection of male grooming products. It’s also been a delight to watch those brands blossom into something rather excellent. With new product launches, improved formulas, and updated packaging, there’s no stopping a brand from attaining its potential to better themselves.

This particular brand I’m about to discuss with you is Jack Black—one grooming brand that will forever be on my dedicated skincare shelve.

“Authentic & Original”, as their famous tag line goes, Jack Black is the pinnacle of male grooming. When it comes down to that “shock factor”, Jack Black has always surpassed my expectations, especially from a male grooming brand. Jack Black was one of the very few brands to take action on grooming products for the modern American man. They understood the difference between a man and a woman’s skin, the need for a man to have his own skincare essentials was one reason why Jack Black came to light.

The Performance Remedy Turbo Collection is something of a rarity and by that meaning, how deeply invigorating this collection is without being too intense in terms of fragrance and performance. Jack Black’s Performance Remedy Turbo Body Wash is a cleanser that might tempt you to say the least—it’s that unique and quite simply memorable. Sulfate-free, this exhilarating body + hair cleanser lathers beautifully with minimal product amount. It’s rich yet gentle formulation glides over dampen skin with ease, releasing trapped dirt and grime from a sweaty, intense session at the gym.

Behind the remarkable fragrance: Rosemary and Jupiter Berry not only provides the product with this incredible scent, but this power couple calms and soothes the skin from exhaustion. There’s also an energising breeze of Eucalyptus that aids the recovery of breathing to a natural state from a heavy, heart-pumping workout.

We love when harsh cleansing detergents aren’t included in our skincare products, they’re a big no-no to many of us due to the fact that they simply contribute to possible skin issues—nothing else. Since removing them from my skincare regime, my skin has never been so happier. Jack Black did include a coconut-derived surfactant extracted from coconuts—a gentle, yet effective sulfate-free alternative that will less likely to cause irritation.

Introducing the Turbo Body Scrub from Jack Black! This multitasking 3-in-1 grooming must-have that I’m about to discuss with you shows similarities to its brother, the Turbo Body Wash. If you’re on a lookout for a new heavy-duty body scrub that provides the skin with an irresistible, silky-soft finish then look no further ahead [this could potentially become a winner for the ladies too].

Unscrewing the lid from the new, unopened jar for the very first time gives me excitement on what is laying beneath the protective strip. As soon as I removed the strip, it’s invigorating, mighty menthol aroma aroused my nose-buds to a high degree. This isn’t a product to be taken lightly, especially with those sensitive to strong, sensual smells, this might not be for you.

What’s inside! Beginning with Sea Salt that not only provides the formula with a pleasing texture but this natural wonder ingredient exfoliates and softens untreated skin. Like the body wash, Eucalyptus has carefully been added into this “spa-like” blend for it’s therapeutic, uplifting properties. I don’t say the word uplifting lightly. If you’re suffering from a common cold or have ongoing sinus troubles, this would work an absolute treat. [think of it as your new Vaporub but with added skincare benefits].

As with most sea salt-based exfoliants, you apply onto dry skin, massaging all over or on areas where you may have a particular skin concern—such as rough, textured skin on the elbows and knees. For me, I paid special attention to my surgery scar from having a tummy tuck in June 2018. A thorough exfoliation will help improve the appearance of scars + scretch marks if used on a regular basis. Jack Black has most certainly got you covered

Overall, this truly is a multitasking product for the modern man—use it as a high-performance body scrub, an invigorating bath soak or as an effective hand scrub for when hand-washing just doesn’t cut it.

I’ve never heard of this brand before.
The products sound lovely though and it’s great to see a more expansive array of male grooming products around.

This sounds super intriguing and something my husband should use. I’ve noticed that he doesn’t really have a skincare routine in place. I’ve been trying to get him to use from products he has rather oily skin and pores are a killer.

Rosemary and juniper sounds like a lovely fragrance combination! My partner is useless with skincare – can just about convince him to cleanse…
