Green Coffee: The Cup Of Joe I Cannot Live Without

sample collaboration with The Green Coffee Company in support of this review

You and I both know that we love a cup a joe on those ‘hard-to-get-out-of-bed’ mornings, we’ve all been there. The unwelcoming alarm goes off and our first thought is ‘I need coffee’. I know for a fact if caffeine isn’t inside my system at a certain time, I turn into one irritable monster [well, not entirely, but you get my point, right?]

Coffee is forever revolutionising, long gone are the days where your basic coffee granules were the only option for you to experience a rich burst of caffeinated coffee. Hip, trendy coffee machines will always be a true privilege for those coffee connoisseurs, these barista-style coffee machines certainly look the part in any kitchen household. We also have the powdered sachets that I’m a fan of—they provide an enjoyable amount of froth and taste from every sip. Until now, I would have never dreamt about changing my favourite coffee granules to something completely different [I’ve just discovered a new way on how you can enjoy your cup of Joe!]

Continue reading as I unveil my new profound love for great-tasting coffee [in a bag!]

The Pure Green Coffee Company uses, well, unroasted green coffee beans in their enticing coffee bags. Green coffee is usually taken in a tablet-form due to it’s slimming properties, having said that, green coffee also acts as a rich antioxidant—controlling high blood pressure and maintaining blood sugar levels.

With an equal blend of unroasted + roasted Arabica green coffee beans in every coffee pouch, a single freshly-brewed coffee from each bag will become a pleasurable experience with every sip. By no means is this your average coffee from the high-street, oh no, this coffee blend is something that every coffee lover needs to experience at least once.

The Original Detox Green Coffee would be my recommendation if you’re more of an “average joe”, a “plain jane” so to speak, although this doesn’t mean that it’s low on flavour—at all. Raspberry Concentrate provides a pinch or edge of fruitiness to the coffee, which in my opinion is a delight to experience. There’s a hint of natural vanilla that hits those tastebuds right from the beginning [that many will thoroughly enjoy]

Flavoured coffee lovers fear not, The Pure Green Coffee Company didn’t forget about you. Introducing The Cappuccino Flavour: my personal favourite from the two options available, slightly sweeter and somehow creamier than the original. With both flavours, you want to make sure you’re using fresh, cold water in the kettle [not re-boiled water, yuk!], and allow the coffee bag to steep for 3-7 minutes as this enhances the flavour to fully unravel from the coffee itself and natural flavourings.

Stinging Nettle is added into the mixture for its ability to decrease inflammation + lower blood sugar levels. There’s also Dandelion that detoxifies the liver whilst boosting the immune system. We all love a good nibble at our favourite sweet and savoury snacks between meal times, including myself, but it’s not always a good idea. If you’re wanting to lose a few pounds for a big event or for health purposes, then perhaps skip the snacking with a little help from the next ingredient.

Coleus forskohlii withholds a multitude of health benefits that you may find interesting, one being a suppressant for hunger. If you’re normally reaching for the biscuit tin around the afternoon slump—a cup of coffee from The Green Coffee Company might do the trick at curving your cravings.

HERE ARE 3 TOP TIPS ON HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR GREEN COFFEE

1. Let it steep: allowing your freshly-made cup of beneficial green coffee will unleash its distinctive flavour and health properties. 3-7 minutes is my recommended waiting time

2. Switch up: replace your usual coffee with the pure green coffee company twice a day and reap in the cell loving antioxidants from every delicious sip. That’s another reason to love green coffee

3. Add your favourite milk: for me, adding a dash of fresh red milk into the cup makes it more of a treat without the naughtiness. What’s your milk, or milk alternative?

What’s your go-to coffee for that caffeine fix?

Ground coffee in a ‘teabag’ sounds like a great idea – fresh coffee can go off so quickly if not used soon enough
