3 Tempting Facial Masks To Add In Your Skincare Routine

We all love to indulge into facial masks, it’s a real pleasure, a mini treat for us to have that spare 15-20 minutes of time to enjoy a little ‘me time’ with our favourite, skin-treat facial mask.

Gone are the days where a simple, kaolin clay mask was the only choice or option of a facial masque experience, although you can never beat the delights of a classic mud mask to purify and deep cleanse the skin from excess oil, dirt and debris causing an arise of spots and zits. Wouldn’t you agree? I’ve got three facial masks in my review basket that I want to share with you today, all 3 have different formulations to treat a variety of skin concerns.

I’m sure you’ll find one product tempting enough to splurge on your next payday treat, or perhaps a pre-Christmas treat! So, without further ado, here are three high-performance facial masks that have Mister Wharff’s seal of skin approval…

We’re going back to the iconic Dead Sea mud mask but with a hefty upgrade, after all, it is 2019. Pretty Boi’s take on a simple clay mask is far from the word ‘simple’. A thick, creamy kaolin clay masque that contains dead sea mud, hickory bark extract and kaolin clay to tackle a congested, oily appearance from the first application. Enriched with over 15 different sea minerals to revitalise and boost a hard-working man’s complexion. I like to apply this with the trusty facial masque brush that I purchased from The Body Shop a couple of years back, I couldn’t imagine applying masks with fingers now. As I was applying the product, straight away I felt a slight tingly sensation that soon disappeared that left my skin feeling invigorating and deeply cleansed. As it began to dry down, my skin didn’t feel overly tight or uncomfortable, unlike some clay-based masks I have experienced in the past. After 10-15 minutes of applying, wash the product away with clean, tepid water and see a  profound, fresh complexion of radiance and clear skin.

GLAMGLOW is back with another facial masque infused with a juicy blend of blueberries, cranberries and goji berries. This is a great one to use if your skin is lacking that visible nutrient glow you had during the Summer season. Well, this berry-tactic masque is here to pick up that everlasting glow you left at Summer – blame the weather. Hyaluronic acid, jojoba and Shea Butter quench the skin with hydration whilst protecting the skins barrier function. Probiotics are a big thing in skincare right now and I can see why, GLAMGLOW added lactobacillus ferment probiotics into the berry blend to support and promote a healthy skin microbiome, in other words, bacteria in human skin.

The product itself looks and smells like a delicious Superfood smoothie that you just want to drink to start your day feeling on top form. Only a small amount is needed and you’ll be shocked at how well this product absorbs into the skin. I like to apply this right after cleansing my skin in the morning as this provides an instant dewy, radiant finish to the skin. If you’re preparing for a big event, an important meeting or upcoming photoshoot, applying this beforehand will most certainly make you the star of all complexions. Rodial’s renowned for their high-performance skincare and intriguing product releases. When founder Maria Hatzistefanis found a gap in the market for skincare with a difference, it wasn’t too long after for this Entrepreneur to develop and introduce Rodial to the world. With vitamin c being a spotlight ingredient, Maria acted fast and developed a line around this juicy ingredient.

The Vit C Brightening Mask, an innovative lightweight gel mask powered by 5% pure vitamin c to target uneven skin tone caused by unprotected skin from holidays abroad, Sunny days out and tanning beds. This treatment gel also contains a whopping 10% exfoliating fruits acids from oranges, pineapples and pomegranates to encourage gentle but thorough exfoliation. Ideally, you want to be applying this before heading to bed and rinse off after 10-15 minutes, you can, if you’re feeling daring is to leave this on overnight as a more intense treatment. Simply apply over cleansed skin, the gel spreads really easily allowing you to completely manoeuvre the product with your fingertips. This is the only vitamin c product that hasn’t left my skin feeling overly sensitive or irritated which is a big plus for me.

Algenist, a brand that I’ve heard so much about but haven’t actually experienced a great deal of it. The ALIVE Prebiotic Balancing Mask, a colour-changing mask formulated with skin-loving probiotics to correct, detoxify and re-balance the skin surface bacteria back to equilibrium. This chameleon colour-changing facial masque transforms from minty green to baby pink as you massage the product into the skin. If you have extra time on your hands, which for most of us is usually in the evenings, take a closer look in the mirror and watch the mask change colour, but be quick, don’t blink and enjoy this fast but enjoyable moment.
